The Story of Exton Angus
Exton Angus, based at Haden Qld (40km North of Toowoomba), was established in 2012 by Tim & Vicki Schmaling as a direct result of Tim's passion for genetics and Angus cattle. As the years go on, we have become more and more grateful for the lifestyle we have created and the future we are building for our two sons, Jacob (9) and Luke (7). We have met some wonderful people throughout our journey who we now call friends, and hope to meet many more of you along the way! Our door is always open - if you're in our area and would like to have a look at our cattle, don't hesitate to get in touch!
The name “Exton” has sentimental meaning to our family.
Tim’s late grandfather, Arnold Kanowski, ran a large white (pig) stud at Pechey Qld many years ago, named “Exton Large White Stud”. Tim always liked the name, so “Exton Angus” was formed as a tribute to him.

Qld Built Bulls are built to perform in all environments. It is essential that the bulls that we produce have good doing ability. They need to be able to perform in the good times when there is plenty of feed available to them. It is even more important that they have a low maintenance input to enable them to continue to survive/perform well in the heart of droughts.
